Our vision is to reach out and serve the people of Vancouver and to become a community of belonging and hope, built on caring and nurturing relationships, spiritual direction and growth. The offering of our church facility is just one way we can achieve this.

We strive to make our physical facilities accessible to congregation members as well as a variety of community groups, agencies, and individuals who support the well-being of the community.

We offer convenient and affordable spaces for meetings, weddings, celebrations of life, receptions, music concerts, town hall meetings, child friendly events, birthday party, athletics classes, or any other event you can dream up – large or small.

We are located at 109 East 40th Avenue and there is free parking and street parking and the Translink Bus (4 and 44) stops nearby.

Availability is Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Church equipment must be put away, decorations and litter removed, and the premises left tidy and clean. Tenants and renters are responsible for their own clean-up. Church kitchens are available and tenants/renters are solely responsible for the quality and preparation of their own food.

Smoking is not permitted in any of the church spaces. Liquor is allowed only in the Fellowship Hall and a liquor license must be provided to the IBC administration office 48 hours in advance of the scheduled event. Violation is cause for immediate termination of the rental agreement.

The name of Immanuel Baptist Church, or IBC for short, must not be used in a way that implies event or group sponsorship.

All rental inquiries are carefully considered for fit with the church mission. Priority is given to requirements of IBC congregation. When booking conflicts arise, it may be necessary to give notice to the group using the space and to provide an alternate space or refund.

Signed rental agreements are required and terms are negotiated annually in the case of month-to-month rentals. IBC reserves the right to discontinue a rental agreement. Rental rates are determined at the time of space booking and are honored for the duration of the signed agreement. Insurance coverage is the responsibility of the community group or individual renter or tenant, and proof of insurance must be shown.

  • Our lower level offers tables and chairs for up to 150 seats and a full kitchen, child play space, a podium, and a full sound system (Yorkville full powered speakers, mixer, mic and stands) for an additional fee.
